Homework assignments

The homework consists of written assignments, and WeBWorK assignments. Written assignments are to be submitted in class and will emphasize proofs. You may find the following proof-writing suggestions useful. WeBWorK assignments will be submitted electronically.   • Some parts of the material needed to do this homework were not covered in today's class. For this reason the deadline for the WeBWorK assignment was extended till Monday 10/13. The deadline for the written assignment stays Friday 10/10. If you wish to start working on it before the next class you might wish to read the necessary parts of Section 18.1
