The course grade will be computed as follows:

Midterm Exam: April 23rd (5-7pm) in Carpenter 013
Final Exam: June 1st (1:30pm)
Homework
In general homework will be handed out after every class period. Every homework assignment will have a section of problems that need to be turned in for grading. The homework assigned on a Friday, Monday, and Wednesday will be due the following Monday. Late homework will not be accepted but the lowest homework grade will be dropped.
Quizzes
There will be a brief quiz every Monday. Questions will be drawn directly from the remaining homework problems that are not turned in for grading with slight modifications. No make-up quizzes will be given but the lowest quiz grade will be dropped.
Honor Principle
Exams and Quizzes: All exams and quizzes are closed book, with no notes or calculators allowed. No help will be given or received.

Homework: You are welcome to discuss your homework with your classmates, the instructors, and your tutors, but the final result should be your own work. Collaboration is encouraged, but you must write your own solutions. Calculators and other computing devices are also allowed, but remember that they will be unavailable on the exams and quizzes.
