Schedule and Homework Assignments
Math 28, Winter 2009

This is subject to change, though hopefully only minor adjustments.

There are three kinds of assignments made daily:

The occasional extra credit assignments are exactly that, extra. They are optional, and if more than one is listed, you may do any subset of them. They should be submitted with homework and will be graded using the same standards.

Important Note: As most of you now know, the textbook you acquired (March 20, 2005 edition) is, on account of an error, not the edition intended by the instructor; hence, the numbers of the problems listed below do not correspond correctly. I have fixed them for the problems due on Monday, January 12, and will be fixing the rest as well shortly. In the meantime, if any of you were planning to work ahead, please wait.

Many of these problems are computational, but for those that are not you may want to review my tips on writing proofs.
