Exams

There will be a take-home midterm and final. The mid-term will be handed out around October 14th and due in a week. The final will be handed out on the last day of class and will be due around Friday November 22nd. These days are subject to small perturbations.

Homework Policy

Grades

The course grade will be based upon the scores on the midterm exam, homework, and the final exam as follows:

Midterm Exam 100 points
Homework 100 points
Final Exam 150 points
Total 350 points

The Honor Principle

On Exams: No help given or received

On Homework: Collaboration on homework is permitted and encouraged. Common decency, and the honor code, oblige you to cite help received or other sources used; for example, "I found this solution on Terry Tao's web site."

Disabilities

Students with disabilities who will be taking this course and may need disability-related classroom accommodations are encouraged to make an appointment to see their instructor as soon as possible. Also, they should stop by the Academic Skills Center in 224 Baker to register for support services.
