On Exams: No help given or received

On Homework: Collaboration is permitted and encouraged, but NO COPYING. On the other hand discussions of the general ideas of the problems is desirable.

On Projects:  Each project will have collaboration/honor principle information listed on the front of the project.  Students are responsible for reading and following the guidelines for each project.  The guidelines may change from project to project.

Tutorials

Tutorial assistance for this course, that is, help with your homework, will be available in 104 Bradley, Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday evening, 7 - 9 pm. Tutorials will begin on Sunday, September 25.

The Tutor Clearinghouse will have private one-on-one tutors available for Math 9. If a student receives financial aid, the College will pay for three hours of tutoring per week. If you would like to have a tutor, please go to 301 Collis and fill out an application as early in the term as possible. There may be a waiting list.

The Hotmath online tutorial service is highly recommended. It provides hints, solutions, and proofs for all of the odd numbered problems in the text.

Disabilities

Students with disabilities who will be taking this course and may need disability-related classroom accommodations are encouraged to make an appointment to see their instructor as soon as possible. Also, they should stop by the Academic Skills Center in Collis Center to register for support services.
