Homework Policy

Homework sets will be assigned for each class and are due before class on each Wednesday. Place the homework in the boxes just outside of 104 Bradley. Observe the section that you are in. Late homework will not be accepted. The assignments and announcements are posted on the Homework and events web page.

The homework scores not only count count towards your final grade and allow you to practice and refine your skills but, historically, those students who do the homework sets regularly fair better on the exams.

The course grade will be based upon the scores on the midterm exam, the final exam, and the homework.

Final exam 150 points
Homework

The Honor Principle

Tutorials

Hunter Brooks will be the TA for the class. The tutorials will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7-9 PM, Bradley 105. (No tutorial April 1.)

Tutor Clearinghouse may have private one-on-one tutors available for Math 23. The tutors are recruited on the basis that they have done well in the subject, and are trained by the Academic Skills Center. If a student receives financial aid, the College will pay for three hours of tutoring per week. If you would like to have a tutor, please go to 301 Collis and fill out an application as early in the term as possible.

Disabilities

Students with disabilities who will be taking this course and may need disability-related classroom accommodations are encouraged to make an appointment to see their instructor as soon as possible. (All discussions will remain confidential, although the Student Disabilities Coordinator may be consulted to verify the documentation of the disability.) Also, they should stop by the Academic Skills Center in Collis Center to register for support services.
