Textbook

Technically our main text is A Course in Abstract Analysis by John B. Conway. However, we may not follow it that closely. I'll be using Real Analysis (fourth edition) by H. L. Royden and P. M. Fitzpatric as well. (Earlier editions by Royden alone are also fine.)

Exams

We will have a midterm exam and a final exam. Both will be "take home". Due dates will be annouced.

Homework Policy

Homework will be assigned sporadically and collected approximately weekly. Everyone is encouraged but not required to use \LaTeX. Each week, selected students will present selected homework solutions in our x-hour.

Grades

The course grade will be based upon the scores on the midterm exam, homework, and the final exam (each counting a third).
